I want to make a 6-1 Persian bracelet using 999 silver. The only pure silver wire I have found is dead soft. Will this procedure work on fine silver? Also can you twist it two turns one direction then reverse two turns until hard and maybe get less distortion in the wire? Thank you.

This is just what I needed. I bought a bunch of wire before I knew there were different hardness levels. It's too soft. I got myself an anvil to work on that's two sided. Stainless steel and rubber, now I just need a metal hammer since I already have that black and yellow one. I was also gifted some cheep wire twisters and have yet to get them to work, but I just might not have done it right. Long story short, I was excited for my wire and made my mom a ring and it keeps bending out of place. At what stage in the ring making process is it best to harden the wire?

Only been making jewellery for a short while. I was getting so frustrated crimping because I couldn't get crimp to butt up close to beads. I came across your video today and was very happy. i redid a couple of necklaces which were a disaster, lol and now they are perfect. Cannot thank you enough for your time and energy sharing this video.

I cannot thank you enough! I need to trim my blocking wire for finishing a knitted object. To save some money, I bought very long ones, which I'll cut to my needs. Then I'll need to thread the wire through most of the edge stitches! I didn't know this tool existed, and looked for a long time before I found your video. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • @patrafferty3910

Well its ten years later after the demo, but her is the FACT. Over 90% of the turquoise produced now is stabilized with the demand for turquoise so high we have to accept using stabilized stones if we want to keep producing new jewelry. Is there high grade and gem grade still neighbors mined sure but try buying it at a price that allows us to make jewelry for the masses. I cut and sell turquoise all the time in addition to making jewelry but face it folks when a guy walks past my show booth munching on a corn dog in shorts with sandals holding onto his new girl friend he ain't looking for investment grade turquoise, he trying to buy a shiny blue stone to impress her on the salary he makes.. Remember guys there are for more common people than rich keep it in perspective. Buy turquoise jewelry because you like it. If you are buying as an investment this a bad idea.. INVEST IN YOUR SELF INSTEAD THIS CAN NEVER BE TAKEN AWAY OR GO DOWN IN VALUE.. peace...

Hi! Today I tryed to burn my turqouse to see if it is not plastic. To my suprice it started to pop like crazy. No smoke though! I didnt understand what it means so Googled it and found your video. I was very happy to learn that this means that my turqouse is natural. But please could you tell me more about this reaction to fire and why it means that its natural. Or where should I look for more information about this. Thank you very much 💙

Now, I have upgraded mine with new table and desk and a bit more organized, I don't have that feeling anymore. I feel like I'm in an office and on the clock. I haven't created a thing.

And you can use a piece of flat wood and roll the wire under it back and forth. Like a piece of a wooden frame would be great. I put a piece of tape on the end so I dont get splinter. I need to go find the video so I can list it here then you can see it yourself.
